EPP - All Risk

Our product provide specialist cover for high value sport horses used for:
  • Dressage
  • Show Jumping
  • Eventing

We can provide cover against All risks of mortality and Theft and Robbery:

  • Death or humane destruction as a result of an accident, injury or illness
  • Death or humane destruction directly resulting from the theft of the horse
  • Death or humane destruction during a transit (via land including loading and unloading)
  • Death or humane destruction by fire, lightning strike or explosion
  • Death or humane destruction as a result of accidental tendon injuries and accidental ataxia

Your horse is covered in Western European countries. Worldwide coverage is possible on request.

Agreed Value

The value of the horse can be agreed with the insurer before signing the policy. Agreed Value means the amount that the insurer will pay in the event of the Death or Loss of use of the horse, if:

  • a written horse evaluation has been accepted in writing; or
  • a horse evaluation has been accepted in writing without the requirement of a written evaluation; or
  • the purchase price of the horse purchased at a public auction as the value of the horse instead of a written valuation has been accepted in writing.
Extensions of cover (additional fees applicable) include options for:

Loss of Use

We will pay up to, but not exceeding 75% of whichever is the lower of the fair market value or the sum insured specified on the schedule if the horse is rendered permanently incapable of fulfilling the purpose for which it is kept or employed as stated in the schedule, resulting from an accident, injury, illness or disease first manifesting itself during the period of insurance

Life Saving Surgery

The insurance reimburses, up to the specified limit,  the costs related to surgical procedures performed under a General Anaesthetic to save the life of a horse and after-care costs as specified in the policy schedule

Transit Insurance

All risks of mortality cover can be extended to include international transport to and from other approved countries

EPP - Anaesthetic Cover

If your horse have to undergo a scheduled surgery under anaesthesia, the risk of Death following a general anesthesia is excluded from the All Risks Mortality policies.

We can provide a specific cover for death following a general anesthesia done to the horse for the type of operation planned and performed at the veterinarian indicated in the policy.
